Banana chocolate smoothie bowl with peanut butter

Frozen smoothies can be a decadent treat, especially when you mix in dark chocolate! Did you know that cacao is known as a super food? In its raw form, cacao powder is teeming with antioxidants, which combined with potassium-rich bananas, can help manage your blood pressure. Add the protein hit from the peanut butter, and this smoothie bowl makes a filling, nutritious and of course delicious start to your day. Let’s get mixing.

 

Recipe for 2 people
Preparation time: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients

2 frozen, ripe bananas, sliced

2 tbs raw cacao powder

1 tbs peanut butter

250 ml almond milk

50 g dark chocolate (at least 72% cocoa)

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

honey to taste

 

Preparation

Step 1:

Remove the bananas from the freezer and let them sit for 5 minutes to reach the right temperature. Slice, then put all the ingredients in the blender and mix until it gets a smooth texture. If you want it to be a bit thinner, add the almond milk. Add honey to taste.
